Who I am...

Hello to every reader.

My name is Delia María Cascales Marco.  I am Spanish. I was born in Agost, a little village in the province of Alicante, Valencian Community.    I have got a Degree on English Philology, a career that I decided to study because I love learning foreign languages, and English seemed the most useful one.  However, I also can use other foreign languages (I mean, different from my mother tongue).  In fact, apart from English, I also speak French and Catalan.  Due to personal problems and difficulties that appeared in my life when I was doing my degree, I could never travel to an English speaking country to upgrade my proficiency on English, neither train myself to pass  the  official examinations that allow to work as an English teacher in a public high-school.  But I still continue doing my best in order to get that goal.  Meanwhile, I have been working in different jobs since I was 20.  Nowadays, within this hard economical crisis we suffer in Spain, it is so hard to find a good job with interesting conditions and a considerable high wage to earn.  That is the reason why I had to look for employment in the agricultural field. Have you ever heard about the papered grapes in the Vinalopo landmark?  It is a registered denomination,  exclusive of seven villages around  the Vinalopo valley.  These are grapes for eating, not for wine, and this is my job nowadays: to prepare, clean and deliver grapes for many markets in Spain and also around the European countries.  We work  with the "Aledo" variety, the one used in New Year´s eve to eat when we change the year.  I finish my work at 20:00 all nights, so I have got little time to attend my studies.  But I sit down on my desk as much as I can, not every day, only when I have the occasion.  It is hard to work all day, to help my twins with their school tasks , to make them have a bath and dinner, to make make my lunch for the next day (I do not eat at home, I do at the factory...), and after all that I need some time to study... I would need days of 36 hours to accomplish with every task...I this sense, I considered the possibility of cooking all my meals for the week on Sundays and freeze them.  This is going to save me a lot of time from Monday to Saturday, the laboral days.  So, I have spent this morning cooking and washing clothes for the week starting tomorrow.
On Sundays, before this course started, I employed my free time with the computer or the smart phone.  I never attended a course on mother technologies:  Office, Internet, social networks, blogs, e-mail, and so on.  Affortunatedly, I grew up with the development of these technologies and I love to use them.  Some people find them difficult, rare, "cold", impossible to learn even and they simply don´t try them.  However, this is not my case.  I started using the text processor (named  Word) and the spreadsheet (Excel) when I was 16... At that moment, I had also a web mail address and I sent and received a lot of e-mails. I also used "Google" as my searching engine for the Internet. Time later, we assisted at the birth of web pages like Facebook, Tweeter, and so on.  They are known as social networkings, because they allow lots of people meet in the net and share all sort of things...I have my own profile in Facebook, Tweeter, Instagram and Google+.  Finally, 2 years ago, I subscribed a contract with a phone company and they gave me a smart phone.  This is a mini computer.  I can read my e-mails, enter on Facebook and Tweeter and, more, I can download a good number of free applications which are very useful, and also I can play the most fashionable games of the moment, like for example Candy Crush Saga... Unfortunately, these days I have little time to technology for the agenda that I have to accomplish each day.  I suppose that I will have more free time on next Christmas, but I am not going to spend all my time with this:  I expect to pass much time with my family, above all, those coming home for Christmas because they live faraway and I only meet them in these days.  I miss them a lot.
To finish with my profile, I would like to say that I have real illusion with this course.  I wish to meet my partners as soon as possible and I will will be open minded and ready to help them if thy need anything from me any time.
